Angela joined the civil service in 2004. She has worked in a number of policy areas at the Department for Communities and Local Government, including housing, local growth, local government, planning and community rights. She has also spent time on secondment to KPMG advising on better, more efficient public services. Angela has been working in the Government Property Unit at Cabinet Office for two years where she is the Programme Director for Asset Efficiency and the One Public Estate programme.
Angela jointly leads the One Public Estate programme with the Local Government Association, supporting collaboration across central and local government and the wider public sector on asset and property management to improve services, deliver growth and achieve efficiencies. Over the past year the programme has grown and is now working with half of councils in England, and many more public sector organisations. Angela also leads work across Government to release at least £5 billion land and property in 2015 – 2020, providing support and challenge to Government Departments to meet this ambitious commitment.
